What is the entry level membership in PSEB?

Anyone who joins PSEB will be initially absorbed as Basic Member. The fee for first year of membership will includeprocessing charges, administration charges etc as revised from time to time. Once a person becomes PSEB member, he/she will be advised for professional enhancement and provided with an opportunity to increase their levels of membership in PSEB through a pre-defined process.

Is there any chance of surpassing the Basic membership and going directly to higher membership categories?

Yes. There is only one such provision, wherein any aspirant who successfully clears Training of Trainer (ToT) is eligible to apply directly for Skill membership. IVQ/NVQ with levels 3,5,7 & 9 can directly apply for relevant membership categories.In all other cases, Basic Membership is mandatory to progress further in the category levels.

Is there any weightage for qualification in membership?

As such there is no weightage for qualification for considering in the membership levels. However, the skills, experience and qualification would play a part in selection of the candidate for further levels in PSEB.

How can I become an expert in a particular industry domain?

PSEB clearly understands that vertical expertise is imminent while horizontal exposure is the need of the hour. Keeping this in view, PSEB has provisioned seven various industrial domains such as Health Care, Engineering, Technology, Life Skills, Humanities, Management & Academy. These seven sectors encompass all the domains available in the industry. Therefore, once an aspirant becomes basic member, he has the opportunity to opt any of the seven sectors to have a single focussed career vision.

I’m a member of an international body. Do I get any consideration in PSEB membership?

PSEB has kept the window open for aspirants who wish to become PSEB member. International Vocational Qualification (IVQ) and National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) have been recognisied and the membership has been aligned accordingly. Candidates with Level 3,5,7 & 9 can directly apply for relevant memberships as described in the membership tab of PSEB website

Is there any concession in the membership fee?

Concession can be extended in rare cases to few individuals by considering aspects which will be purely decided by PSEB.

What are the benefits of getting PSEB membership?

How to decide the industry domain?

When you would like to elevate yourself for Skill Member, you will be provided with options of industry domains such as Technology, Humanities, Engineering, Life Skills, Academia, Management & Health care. The selection for industry domain will depend on the educational background, skill set etc. However, PSEB will be the final authority to allot industry domain.

Is there any provision to change industry domain?

Yes, one can change the industry domain provided the person possesses requisite skill experience in the new domain. However, the person has to pay the change of domain fee, if applicable at that time.

In case of address change, how can I stay in connect with PSEB?

Whenever there is a change in the address, the person has to intimate PSEB through email [email protected] Necessary amendment in the records will be initiated. If there is a change in the continent, the person will be assigned under the PSEB regional office located in that continent.

What happens to membership after retirement?

If a member wants to continue, he/she can continue even after retirement provided, he/she regularly update their domain expertise. They will have to pay any subscription fee as applicable from time to time.
